The project was initiated following deliberations from the St. Joseph’s Province of Hyderabad in 1996, with Fr. Maddichetty Noel spearheading the efforts. Initially operating from a rented building, the organization later acquired its own premises near Secunderabad railway station, inaugurated in April 2001 as a round-the-clock shelter. Sadhana Institute for the Intellectually Disabled is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Founded in 1996, it operates a day-care and residential center in Hyderabad, serving 182 individuals with life skills training, therapy, and vocational programs.
